Gazzabash / Jewelry Sale / Training at Bewl

Gazzabash raises £1,036 for HD
Gazza is a DJ who runs monthly modern jive events in Bromley and Orpington (called Gazzabash). Once a month he donates all of the profits of one of the dances to charity. I have known Gazza for a few years now and have been on some walks with him in training for China and Kilimanjaro. I've been going to the Gazzabashes for a while but really got to know him better when I started learning West Coast Swing (WCS) at The Daylight Inn, where he is the DJ. He plays the BEST music at WCS!!!!

Gazza kindly agreed to hold a Gazzabash for Huntington's Disease, to help towards my target of £5,000.

I am absolutely delighted to report that on Friday evening the Gazzabash raised £1,036.50 for my cause! Thank you so much to Gazza for this, and for all the money he has raised for charity, which to date totals £36,792.50!

Jewelry Sale
My friend Rachael has kindly donated some 'Pandora Style' jewelery for me to sell.

Not real Pandora but beautiful jewelry just the same. I have sold 3 pieces and made £35 so far. I'm thinking about having a jewelry party to raise more money. Thanks go to Rach, it's much appreciated.

Training

Yesterday I went to Bewl Water with Andy and we walked around the lake. Some signs say it's 12 miles, some say it's 13. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and I enjoyed every minute of it. It's a really beautiful place to walk, with the lake, the fields and the woods. My first walk in shorts this year! It's mostly flat though, apart from a very steep road in one place. Andy has run around the lake a few times before so he knew where to go. My feet were aching by the end of the walk, but my body was fine.
