Mount Snowdon

Well, I'm back from Snowdonia. The journey there was long and the traffic was bad. We left at 1pm on Friday and got there about 9pm. We met the others at the hostel. It was lovely to see the girls from China again!

On Saturday we walked to the summit. Unfortunately it rained continuously all the way up, and despite our waterproofs, we were all cold and wet. The wind was lashing the rain into our faces and walking in all the wet weather gear made us hot and sweaty and made it a bit more difficult. So I can't exactly say it was an enjoyable day and when we got to the top, the cafe was absolutely packed! There was a race on the mountain too - it's called the Snowdonrace. It's a different route up and down but the mountain seemed extremely busy despite the bad weather.

My legs are very stiff and I'm a bit achy. I've had loads of sleep but I'm still really tired! I did some yoga this morning to stretch myself out and that helped a bit. It's such a shame that the weather was so awful. It was lovely and sunny on Sunday when we left!
